#NEWSUPDATE : LAUTECH Teaching Hospital Nurses Demand Reinstatement Of Suspended Nurses

Nurses in LAUTECH Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, protested today against incessant refusal of the hospital management in reinstating the suspended nurses. Some members of a group tagged progressive nurses were last week laid off their job for protesting against hospital management hostility in paying half salary without any agreement nor negotiation.

After the protest the hospital management released a memo, only to add 3% increment of the 50% salary. The progressive nurses observed this as nonchalant and insensitive to their plights. The progressive nurses however is increasing in numbers from 103 nurses as senior nurses waged their full support in the aluta.

Meanwhile, some members of the progressive nurses carried placards with various inscriptions demanding thier full payments,  reinstatement of the suspended nurses, good working environments, hospital equipment and so on. Despite the management shutting the administrative block entrance, the progressive nurses never deterred from the protest. Also, as the crisis was ongoing, the surgery department of LTH received accreditation panel from MDCN.

The progressive nurses hereby called on National President NANNM - Comrade AbdulRafiu Adeniji (TripleA) and other stakeholders to rescue the nurses from this unwarranted and uncivil injustice. An injustice to one is an injustice to all. The progressive nurses also called on the the Head of Nurses (HNS) to work for the profession by ensuring nurses aren't shortchanged in the course of thier duties.
Great Nurses!!!
Great LAUTECH Teaching Hospital
