#NEWSUPDATE: Nigeria Health Minister performed Obstetric fistula Repair at Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa

Professor Isaac Adewole,  the Nigeria Minister for Health recently visited Obafemi Awolowo Teaching Hospital, Wesley Guild where he performed a repair of Vesico-vaginal Fistula. He made the statement on his twitter handle. He was happy to be part of the procedure.

 Pleased to be back in the surgical room today performing obstetric fistula repair with my colleagues at the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa.


There has been various comments from his followers observing this as the first of its kind, and that its an uncommon events among ministers of health. Another follower constructively request the government to kindly upgrade the infrastructures in the hospital,  another follower encouraged commissioners for health to do same in their respective field as professionals. This is a way of upgrading thier skills and to know the state of health facilities in the country.
Beside, Prof Isaac should try to do same in other geopolitical zone.
