Nurse Alabi Oyefunke exhaled Nigerian Nurses as most dedicated healthcare provider.

Am a  nurse, a proud registered nurse. On this friday i wish to share some words with my professional colleagues, its a huge task and a brave descision to choose to be a nurse and to stay in the profession especially in NIGERIA. The salary is  not encouraging, the working conditions are bad, the working enviroment is not stimulating. Some nursing leaders can bring down the morale. No respect..and patients can be funny at times. Its so hard to satisfy them, despite all these there is always a reason to keep on, push it and give the best out to our patients. The society, hospital management, Government don't care about nurses physical, social, and emotional, wellbeing even our homes. ALL they want is for them to be satisfied at all times. Most time, during a shift its 1 nurse to 20 patients, and work must continue. who to blame? health is a must!

AM glad and happy with what i do. I make sure i keep on a smilling face even under ctrical condition, patience with our client, and to hold it when its really annoying, trust me it can be crazy at times, and most annoyin is when something goes wrong in the hospital e.g no water supply, bad food, patients death, anything....all they could think of is a nurse.  I pray God help my dear profession. To my fellow NURSES ,we are great,we are wonderful...,  Let's  keep on our good work.  Only GOD that can reward us.
And to our patients we are in the hospital because of you. We are there to give you the best patients' satisfaction first. Most sincere gratitude to all husbands and wives for your immeasurable support, thanks for your understandings and supports, inspite of professional time schedules, your give unconditional support.  Government is trying but can do more.

In 2015 i received an award of "the neatest and most cheerful nurse". It's   a motivation for me and professional colleague. A warmth sincere appreciation to Lagos State Government for conferring on me the award.
Thanks friend for taking your time to read this article.
Thanks all.
Great Nurses!
