FODOR Healthcare Foundation partner Igbajo Alliance Club distribute Free Eye glasses



Every year indigenes of Igbajo, Osun State, home and abroad jointly celebrate one existence of the community. April1, 2018,  easter day,  commemorating the ressurection of Jesus Christ,  was a special day for Igbajo indigenes celebrating "Igbajo Day". FODOR Healthcare Foundation,  a registered NGO,  took the celebration to another level by delivering free community health services on this special day to sons and daughters of Igbajo. The event was partnered with Igbajo Alliance Club - as a token of blessings to the community of Igbajo.
Health is life,  Health is precious than wealth because wealth can't buy health. For this reason Igabjo Alliance Club, Osun State,  as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility  (CSR) strongly affirmed health is life,  thus bringing health to Igbajo indigenes in celebrating Igbajo day. Services delivered include : Blood Pressure Monitoring,  Random / Fasting Blood Sugar,  Body Mass Index, Consultation,  Free medications,  Eye screening,  Free glasses,  Referral,  e. t. c.


About 200 beneficiaries received various medical services and medications at no cost. 100 eye glasses were distributed free after thorough eye screening performed by the ophthalmologists. Doctor was also on ground for general medical condition and referal system instituted.

Nurse Fafowora Bola,  an assistant coordinator expressed gratitude to  Igbajo Alliance Club and the community for the large turnout,  citing that there is a lacuna in the healthcare sector in Nigeria,  and that FODOR is doing its impact within its capacity to reach the communities. She further highlighted successes recorded by FODOR in the past,  that FODOR is well known for delivering health services to the door step of community especially in Osun State.  Due to its limited resources FODOR is yet to cover all the communities in Osun State as well Nigeria.

Dr Julius Adegbite,  Chairman of the board of trustee of FODOR Healthcare Foundation described the event as needful and activities worth putting resources into as well community participation. He explained FODOR is an organisation to look out for,  as its bringing health services to the doorstep of communities. Next time it may be your community. He appreciated Igbajo Alliance Club  for the partnership and delivering free community health service to his people. He appealed the state and federal government to do more in the health sector. He further urged well meaning Nigerians and philanthropist to support this NGO to be able to cover wider range.
