Over 100 Surgeons inducted from COSECSA


Africa- The College of Surgeons of East, Central and Southern Africa (COSECSA) recently graduated  more than 100 surgeons. The College is an amalgamation among the 3 Regions of Africa Continent - East Africa, Central Africa and Southern Africa.

Ugandan President, His Excellency, Yoweri Museveni graced the 20th anniversary of the college of surgeons of east, central and southern Africa. The graduates who were conferred with Fellowships spanned across 21 Countries of Africa.

In her congratulatory message, the Health Minister of Uganda, Dr Jane Ruth Aceng, congratulates the newly inducted Fellow of COSECSA from Uganda. She further appreciated the 3 women who successfully completed the program. She also expressed her gratitude to the government of Ireland for the support.

Out of these newly graduated fellows, 19 are from Uganda, and 3 of these are women. Congratulations to the new fellows and I wish you the best. I urge more health workers in Uganda to take up surgery as we need more of you. Thank you to the Government of Ireland for the support.
